Betty’s Sansrival: Everything a Sansrival Should Be

It’s chewy. It’s crunchy. It’s sweet. It’s salty. It’s everything a sansrival should be. It’s Betty Sansrival. No wonder it’s included in the top ten list of best sansrival on this website.

I am not in a position to say which one is the best. After all, I’m not a food connoisseur or anything. I just love to eat and I’m judging everything based on my tastebuds. So, I don’t really know how far that’s going to go but there’s no harm in trying, right?

Looking Back 

Growing up, which was like centuries ago, we didn’t have a lot of options when it came to sansrival cakes.

Probably the most popular sansrival at that time was from Goldilocks. Again, I could be wrong.

I just remember sansrival from Goldilocks and the rest were pretty much homemade.

Back in the day, our grandmas or lolas had the time to make us some homemade sansrival cake. I remember my grandma baking it from scratch. Each layer was tediously baked and stacked. She would even tell us that sansrival originated from leftovers or more like rejects of merengue. The funny thing was that my lola would tell me the same story each time she made some sansrival.

Thank Goodness for Betty’s Sansrival 

Fast forward to today, we now have a lot of options when it comes to sansrival cakes. I am so glad that there is Betty’s Sansrival that can pretty much take the place of my grandma’s sansrival when we were young.

It has that homemade taste that’s not too sweet. It also doesn’t have that buttery taste that could be overpowering at some point. In other words, It’s just right. It’s a no-fuss sansrival and I love it. Perfect with coffee.

Very Affordable 

One of the good things about it is that it’s not too expensive. You can get a regular-sized sansrival for just 600. That’s good for more than five folks already. It’s a generous size, I would say.
